Application Evenings

ENGAGEMENT TEAM — JUL 20, 2023

Get help with your application to study at Ara in 2023!

Come along to one of our Application Evenings and get sorted for 2023. See a short presentation focusing on upcoming application closing dates and how to complete your application. Our Engagement team will be available to answer any questions and provide the one-on-one support you need. We’ll help you get your ID documents, admission and enrolment form and additional requirement submissions sorted.

Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided.

Application Evenings can be attended in person at the City campus on Madras Street.

Each session covers:

  • Ara application process

  • Fees-free funding, scholarships

  • Verifying ID documents (bring your Birth Certificate, Passport and/or Visa details if applicable)

  • Information about entry criteria (academic and additional requirements)

  • Course closing dates and availability

Te Ara Pūtahi

ENGAGEMENT TEAM — JUL 20, 2023

Te Ara Pūtahi is a holiday programme for Secondary Aged rangatahi across Ōtautahi.

Our aim is to provide students with a space to prepare for end of year exams, finish those last minute holiday assignments or to keep them busy over the holiday period. Activities include: tailored NCEA/Marautanga tutoring, cultural workshops, pathway planning, course tasters, whanaungatanga/games/ice breakers & HEAPS of kai! 

Te Ara Pūtahi will be running from 27 – 29 September, 9:30am – 3:30pm @ Te Puna Wānaka, Ara City Campus, Madras Street.

Bachelor of Midwifery: 1st September

Bachelor of Nursing: 30th September

Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications (all specialisations): 30th September

Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health: 1st October

Animal Management: 31st October 

Animal Technology: 31st October 

Student Accommodation (Ōtautahi House): 31st October

Diploma in Enrolled Nursing: 1st November

Bachelor of Social Work: 25th November

If any of your students are wanting assistance with their applications, contact your schools representative. We are happy to visit schools for application presentations, or help out individuals when required. We also have application evenings coming up, intended to help students through this process.
