There are many opportunities for juniors to be involved with drama on both a large and small scale. Students can sign up to join the drama groups which are led by experienced and motivated senior students where they will gain drama skills and also have the opportunity to participate in the Performing Arts Events that occur throughout the course of the year.

Drama at CGHS has always had a strong focus on Shakespeare and there are two major opportunities where the Bard is concerned; firstly, the inter-secondary Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival and secondly, the Junior Alison Harper Memorial Competition. Both are prestigious and exciting events that our girls have loved being involved in.

If you prefer to be involved behind the scenes, Technical Drama (lighting and sound) thrives in the school and there is plenty of opportunity for these skills to be put to use. We are always looking for eager, creative students who are interested in set construction, painting, costume design and makeup. The school has a well-stocked costume wardrobe covering most eras. Theatresports
Theatresports is a very popular form of improvisational theatre. If you've been to Scared Scriptless at The Court then you know what we do! We have a junior and senior group and each compete in the annual school competition which is based at The Court Theatre and judged by the Court Jesters. There are opportunities for workshops throughout the year and we encourage anyone who is looking for a fun lunchtime to have a go!  Mrs Officer
