This three-hour tour at our Christchurch Maintenance Base offers students a glimpse into a day-in-the-life of an aircraft maintenance apprentice and the available career pathways.

We encourage Year 13 students wishing to pursue NZ Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering (Level 3) at Air NZ Academy of Learning in 2027 to register their interest now here.  
  
TIMELINE AND IMPORTANT NOTES:
 
Our hangar famil is running in the second week of the Term 2 school holidays, on Thursday, 16 July 2026, with a morning and afternoon session. Please also ensure the hangar famil closely aligns with their career aspirations, as numbers are limited. Students between Year 11-13 are considered, though we may give preference to Year 13s, particularly those who are considering applying for next year.   
   
·         Applications close at midnight on Sunday, 5 July 2026 
·         Students will be emailed the outcome of their application  
·         Successful student, parent, and career advisor will be emailed the details and requirements   
·         Students need to be able to make their own way to and from our Christchurch Airport location 
·         Students must have support and approval from both Career Advisors and Parents  
·         Students must be available the second week of the Term 2 school holidays, on Thursday, 16 July 2026, to attend the hangar famil.
