Are you interested in developing new electric motor concepts and electrifying transport across large scales?
The Ara Institute of Canterbury is part of a consortium of 9 universities internationally working on a seven-year Advanced Energy Technology research effort. The project is titled High Power Electric Motors for Large Scale Transport, and is focused on developing new electric motor concepts and electrifying transport, across trucks, trains, and aircraft.
As a part of this, Ara has full scholarship opportunities for students interested in studying electrical engineering. Please contact Dr. Frank Washko (frank.washko@ara.ac.nz) for more information.
Note: Frank is interested to meet with students commencing their studies in 2025, as well as younger students who are keen to learn more.
There will also be Engineering taster days at Ara again next year.
