Rotary Scholarship for Y13s studying at Ara, UC or Lincoln

For students in Canterbury with enormous potential who are experiencing severe financial pressure or personal circumstances which might prevent tertiary study

I would like to let you know about a fantastic scholarship opportunity available for your year 13 students to apply for, if they’re going to be attending either Ara Institute of Canterbury, Lincoln University or the University of Canterbury. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum, for a total of 3 years, total value $30,000 (subject to satisfactory grades during the year).

Each year the Riccarton Rotary Youth Trust offers a scholarship to enable a student to attend either the University of Canterbury, Lincoln University or Ara Institute of Canterbury. The objective of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a student who is experiencing severe financial pressure or has personal circumstances which might otherwise prevent tertiary study. The award recognises that some young people of enormous potential are prevented from obtaining higher qualifications.

I have attached a poster for display at your school, the scholarship regulations and the application form, to this email. I would appreciate it if you could share this information with your senior leadership team as well as those directly involved with student mentoring and ask them to encourage their students to apply.

I welcome any questions from you or your team, should you have them.

Ngā mihi
