UC Accommodation applications now open

Year 13 students can now apply for their selected Halls of Residence if they are planning to study and live at UC in 2025.

Applications are due by 25 September, with Common Confidential Reference Forms (CCRFs) due by 15 September.

Other accommodation key dates can be accessed here.

Please remind your students that if the key contact for the CCRF has changed, to let the CCRF administrator know at mail@ccrf.ac.nz.

Ideally, students will take the opportunity to visit the halls at Rā Tōmene | UC Open Day on 30 August or during a campus tour on another date, but if they can’t do this, please encourage them to check out the 360 degree panoramas and hall videos on our website.

You and your students can find more information about accommodation and the application process in this video or on our website.

New Accommodation for 2026

A new purpose-built facility has begun construction to provide fully-catered accommodation to 283 first year students in 2026.

The new build will feature ensuite rooms and multiple social spaces.

The name, Tupuārangi, has been gifted by the local iwi, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and has a connection to food and growth to nurture our students, support their wellbeing, and provide them with the tools they need to navigate out into the world.

Tupuārangi is located next to Tupuānuku, which opened in 2021, on the border of the Ilam heritage garden. For further information contact tupuarangi_queries@canterbury.ac.nz.

We appreciate the time and effort you put in to assisting with the application process and completing references and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Also, just a reminder that scholarship applications are due by 15 Augustsee more details here.
