Sea2Sky Challenge

Organisation: Canterbury Triathlon Club

Date: 16 March 2025

Time 7-11am

Location: Sumner

Marshaling on the bike or run leg of a triathlon.

Gardening working bee

Organisation: Abbeyfield Christchurch Inc and Abbeyfield Wigram Inc

Date: Saturday 10 May 2025

Time: 10am to 12.30pm

Location: Wigram

Abbeyfield NZ is a not for profit organisation which provides affordable shared housing for the over-65s. A working bee is taking place to do some light gardening tasks around the site such as weeding, pruning and spreading bark chips.

Street Appeal Collection

Organisation: Aviva Family Violence Services

Dates: Friday 23 and Saturday 24 May 2025

Time: Two-hour shifts between 9am and 6pm

Location: Various (sites available in Christchurch, Selwyn and Waimakariri)

Aviva is a Canterbury-based family and sexual violence agency offering an extensive range of integrated, specialist services to support all people – children, youth and adults – to live free from violence and overcome its enduring harm. Volunteers will be provided with an Aviva vest, bucket and collection materials and assigned a site based on their time and location preferences. You will need to transport yourself to and from the designated collection site. You will be collecting donations from passers-by at local malls or supermarkets.
